VNC Application and IPv6 - Tech Question

Question by David Green

Has anyone actually gotten Windows RealVNC server to work with IPv6 as claimed by the vendor?

The support site says:

“VNC Server E4.1.7 & P4.1.2 are fully IPv6-aware, but is shipped with IPv6 support disabled by default, for security reasons. IPv6 can be enabled by setting "InTransports=IPv6,IPv4" (the default being IPv4 only) in the registry on Windows systems.”

We tried adding this string to the registry, and rebooting and starting VNC server, but it still does not accept incoming IPv6 connections (And yes, we have the windows firewall off for now)

If anyone has a tip on how to work RealVNC in IPv6 mode, please pass it on!
